Bangladesh’s army chief Gen Waker-uz-Zaman has announced an interim “coalition” government in the country, indicating that it would be with the participation of political parties.
Waker-uz-Zaman addressed the nation shortly after Sheikh Hasina Wajid left the prime minister house and headed to India.
The army chief also announced that Sheikh Hasina had been sacked. He did not brought up reports of her “resignation”.
Most of Bangladesh’s political parties except Awami League attended the meeting at the army headquarter.
Gen Zaman called for end to protest in the country.
