Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi hosted over 1,500 construction workers at Gaddafi Stadium for a luncheon to celebrate the successful and timely completion of the venue’s upgradation.

The workers had worked tirelessly over 117 days to complete the renovation, and their efforts were recognized and appreciated by Naqvi.

During the event, Naqvi visited each worker, engaged in conversation, and personally thanked them for their dedication.

He acknowledged their hard work, calling them the “heroes of the nation,” and invited them to attend the opening match of the tri-nation ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand, marking the first event at the stadium post-upgrade.

The construction workers expressed their pride in the achievement and appreciated the PCB chairman for his constant involvement throughout the project.

The luncheon featured a menu including mutton qorma, chicken roast, and beef palou, along with desserts and refreshments.

PCB’s senior officials, including Advisor Amir Mir, COO Sameer Ahmed, and PSL CEO Salman Naseer, attended the event, along with Pakistan men’s white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan.

The newly-renovated Gaddafi Stadium will host two matches of the tri-nation ODI series between February 8 and 10, and also four exciting matches during the Champions Trophy, including a semi-final on March 5.
