Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been ordered by the judge to pay $14,000 in child support for son he claims he never met.
The judgment brings an end to the legal feud across various jurisdictions.
Edwards ex. Alexandria first filed for paternity and child support in New York in March 2025.
While Edwards’ legal team maintained that their child was conceived and born in Georgia, where all contact happened.
The $14,000 monthly child support payment was calculated based on his $4.8 million monthly gross income, up from the $3,200 he had already been paying to Alexandria.
After earlier hearings were dismissed, Alexandria then submitted another court application and requested the case be heard in New York, where she and the child live.
According to the court documents, that suggests the mandate was set for Amir, Edwards, and Alexandria Desroches’ son.
Amir was born in October 2023, and Alexandria is currently residing in New York with him.
For context, the latest court ruling comes after a Georgia judge ruled Edwards last month to pay $3,222 per month in child support for his daughter Aubri’.
Edwards has four children, with the youngest born about a year ago. Apart from Amir and Aubri’, he has daughters Aris (born in September 2023 to Daja Caryyle) and Aislynn (born in March 2024 to Shannon Jackson).
Anthony Edwards is currently on the roster of the Minnesota Timberwolves, with a contract that is valued at over $200 million.
