In a delightful departure from conventional anniversary celebrations, the vivacious Pakistani star and television host, Juggun Kazim, once again surprised her husband, Feisal H Naqvi, with a unique and memorable gesture on their recent wedding anniversary.
Known for her creative and fun-loving approach to commemorating special occasions, Kazim shared the details of her latest escapade during a recent appearance on the popular television show, Gup Shab with Vasay Chaudhry.
For the past few years, Kazim has made it a tradition to celebrate her wedding anniversary in unconventional styles, turning what could be mundane into a spectacle of love and laughter. This year was no exception, as she arrived at Faisal’s office with a horse-drawn carriage, accompanied by two violinists, flowers, and garlands. She revealed that her intention is to inject a sense of fun into their otherwise serious lives, prompting laughter from the audience.
During the candid conversation with Chaudhry, Kazim expressed her dislike for conventional anniversary celebrations that typically involve a simple dinner with the family. She emphasised her belief in celebrating life’s moments with grandeur and revealed her love for creating spectacles during special occasions. “For the past two, three years I’ve been putting it up on social media but, for me, because I’m a very easy person to live with, I try, every year to pull some antic where Faisal is forced to think, ‘What have I done?'” said the star, prompting laughter from the audience. “It’s important to give a reminder,” she added.
Kazim continued, “But besides that, people celebrate birthdays with splendour. Honestly, I love celebrating occasions. You know how wedding anniversaries usually are. You go, have dinner, the kids tag along, you eat, you drink…I think it should be a spectacle. The point is… And what is the beginning of marriage? Functions etc. Whenever life presents an opportunity, one must celebrate, in my opinion. As a family, we celebrate everything. I am more interested in celebrating everything.”
Describing her unique anniversary celebration, Kazim shared, “I reached outside Feisal’s office in a horse-drawn carriage, with two violinists.” She had to pause as she began laughing midway, hiding her face in embarrassment. “Last year, there was a dhol wala. This year there were violinists. There were flowers too and garlands.”
When questioned about whether she took this behemoth of a gift during work hours to her husband’s office, the television host replied, “The way we got into those lanes is a story for another day…The streets are so dainty. We reached with great difficulty. Feisal came outside and grabbed his head, thinking, ‘What has she done now?’ Last year, we entered his office with dhol walas.”
Acknowledging his accomplished career as a successful lawyer, Kazim said, “My husband is a very successful lawyer. Very very accomplished.” Chaudhry interjected jokingly, “And you want that to no longer be the case?” She continued, “His associates and people who work under him think that they are very serious people. And they are. But I try to shake up that seriousness.”
