EPFO Pensioners Can Now Submit Digital Life Certificates From Home Via India Post Payments Bank

EPFO partners with India Post Payments Bank to offer free doorstep Digital Life Certificate services for EPS95 pensioners.

EPFO joins hands with IPPB for doorstep service to submit DLC at the comfort of the home.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has tied up with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) to provide doorstep Digital Life Certificate (DLC) submission services to its pensioners under the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 (EPS’95).

Jeevan Pramaan (Digital Life Certificate) is a biometric-enabled Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificate for pensioners. Each DLC has a unique id called the Pramaan-Id.

Moreover, it is automatically processed by the Pension Disbursing Agency.

How Does it Work?

This partnership will help EPFO pensioners to submit their Digital Life Certificate conveniently from their homes, eliminating the need for them to visit bank branches or EPFO offices to submit traditional paper-based certificates. This door-to-door service will be provided by IPPB through its extensive network of over 1.65 lakh post offices and 3 lakh+ postal service providers. The IPPB staff being equipped with doorstep banking devices featuring face and fingerprint biometric authentication, will offer the services free of cost, thanks to EPFO.

Every year, pensioners are required to submit a ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ or life certificate before banks, post offices or any pension disbursing agencies to prove that they are alive. Pensions will be credited into their account once they authenticate themselves via Jeevan Pramaan.

Pensioners To Submit DLC Between Nov 1 and Nov 30

Pensioners must submit their life certificate, also known as Jeevan Pramaan, between November 1 and 30 to ensure uninterrupted pension payments. However, senior citizens aged 80 and above can submit their life certificate earlier, starting from October 1, 2025.

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) had introduced the Doorstep Service of Digital Life Certificate in 2020 for generating Jeevan Pramaan for pensioners using Aadhaar enabled biometric authentication to reduce the turnaround time for issuance of Jeevan Pramaan.

How To Get A Jeevan Pramaan Certificate?

Getting a digital Life certificate is hassle free and can be obtained through various Jeevan Pramaan Centres which are being operated by CSCs, Banks, Government offices or by using the client application on any PC/mobile/tablet.

You can locate nearby Jeevan Pramaan Centres via this link https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/v1.0/locatecentre/locate.
