The partnership between Nobel Prize Laureate and activist Malala Yousufzai and ace designer Ralph Lauren is one for the books! The 25-year-old stunned in yet another custom-made traditional ensemble created by the designer for a match at Wimbledon, London.
It is one thing to wear a hooded design by Ralph and another to have him make an all-white ethnic dress for you – and only Malala can pull that off! On Sunday, she took to Instagram, flaunting her Ralph Lauren merch and her partner in crime, Asser Malik, to thank everyone behind making her Wimbledon experience extraordinary.
“A lady and her court,” she started, possibly making a playful reference to Bridgerton. Sharing the space with Phoebe Dynevor had some influence on her, maybe – but well, wit has always been a part of Malala’s style.
“Thank you British Vogue for having us. Wimbledon is one of the things I love most about living in the UK, and it’s such an honour to be invited to watch in style. I’m so grateful to work with Dena Neustadter and Ralph Lauren again. You always make me feel impeccable,” she wrote.
Malala wore a long solid shirt paired with culottes of the same colour, and completed her simple yet elegant look with brown oversized sunglasses, a Ralph Lauren coffee cup and bag, a few golden bracelets, and some rings.
As far as Phoebe, the famous Bridgerton star is concerned, a fan account, on Twitter, shared a picture of Malala sitting in front of the actor and her boyfriend before she even posted pictures from her time at Wimbledon. “Phoebe Dynevor and her boyfriend Cameron Fuller at Wimbledon sitting behind Malala,” the tweet read.
Taking the tweet in good light, Malala came to Dynevor’s rescue and wrote, “I believe it’s always a good idea to have strong women behind you.” The tweet won the internet, with fans calling her their “favourite woman” and tweeting about how she won their respect even more after this.
There were several compliments about her sunglasses, humour, and swag in general too.
Ralph and Malala’s first collaboration was earlier this year for the Oscars 2023. The executive producer of the Oscar-nominated documentary short Stranger at the Gate, turned heads in a sequined silver hooded Ralph Lauren gown that was ruched at the waist.
