A report published by Healthline highlighted that consuming two eggs per day (or about half a cup), compared to an egg-free, high-carb breakfast, did not affect blood cholesterol levels. The study also noted that individuals with health conditions, including diabetes, who ate six to twelve eggs per week, did not experience negative changes in total cholesterol or heart disease risk factors. In fact, their HDL (good) cholesterol levels increased, suggesting a potential heart health benefit.
