Tom Holland<\/a> has shared that he\u2019ll be supporting his girlfriend Zendaya<\/a>\u2019s new movie, Challengers<\/em><\/a>, during the film\u2019s opening weekend.<\/p>\n The 27-year-old actor took to Instagram<\/a> on Saturday to celebrate the release of the tennis-themed movie, which officially hit theatres in the US on 26 April. In the post, he simply shared the poster for the movie, which shows Zendaya front in centre, as she\u2019s wearing a pair of sunglasses that shows her two co-stars \u2013 Josh O\u2019Connor and Mike Faist \u2013 playing a game on the tennis court.<\/p>\n In the caption, Holland made it clear that he\u2019ll be watching his girlfriend\u2019s new movie. \u201cI know what I\u2019m doing this weekend!\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n Many fans in the comments gushed over how the Uncharted<\/em> star was cheering his partner and her career milestone on.<\/p>\n \u201cWe love a supportive boyfriend,\u201d one wrote, while another added: \u201cSoooo cute omg.\u201d<\/p>\n A third wrote: \u201cAll boyfriends should be like Tom Holland who supports his girlfriend in everything she does, I really respect him so much!!!\u201d<\/p>\n In Challengers<\/em>, Zendaya plays Tashi, a tennis player turned coach who is training her husband Art (played by Faist) as he\u2019s trying to make a comeback as a professional tennis star. However, things take a turn when Art has to compete against his former friend and Tashi\u2019s ex-boyfriend, Patrick, who is played by O\u2019Connor.<\/p>\n Throughout the last few months, Zendaya has been on a busy press tour for Challengers<\/em>, with the occasional support from her boyfriend at the events. Earlier this month, he was seen at the premiere of the movie in London, where he had the opportunity to exchange a sweet kiss with his girlfriend before taking his seat in the theatre<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Euphoria<\/em> star and Holland first sparked rumours that they were dating<\/a> in 2017, after starring in Spider-Man: Homecoming. <\/em>However, they didn\u2019t confirm their romance until July 2021, when photos of them kissing in a car were published.<\/p>\n In her cover story for Vogue<\/em>, which was published earlier this month, Zendaya reflected on her boyfriend\u2019s rise to fame and praised him for how he handled it<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you\u2019re a kid and you\u2019re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you\u2019re Spider-Man,\u201d she said. \u201cI definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.\u201d<\/p>\n Throughout her time in the public eye, Zendaya has addressed that she doesn\u2019t like the idea of having the intimate details of their relationship known to everyone. However, she acknowledged that she\u2019s not going to avoid having certain experiences in life, just for the sake of keeping her relationship hidden.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. When asked who she thought had the most \u201crizz\u201d out of the Dune: Part Two <\/em>cast during a video with BuzzFeed <\/em>in February<\/a>, she answered: \u201cMe. Hello?\u201d After noting that everyone has their own charisma, she opted to answer the initial question by referring to her boyfriend.<\/p>\n \u200b\u200b\u201cI think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the Dune <\/em>cast, but I know personally, works for me, is Mr Tom Holland,\u201d the Disney Channel alum noted. \u201cI\u2019m more shy and kind of quiet, so it takes a little bit more to pull me out of my shell.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cBut he\u2019s great at just talking to people and getting to know people. You see him on talk shows and stuff like that. He\u2019s just naturally very good at that. Whereas for me, I\u2019ve definitely had to pull it out of me a little bit.
