The hit FX series \u201cThe Bear<\/a>\u201d is about many things: complicated family dynamics, grief, toxic workplace environments<\/a>, Chicago, vocational obsession and, of course, food. But for some people, it\u2019s really just a show about clothes set in and around a Chicago restaurant.<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s third season has already given plenty of fodder for style-obsessed viewers. In the first episode, Carmen \u201cCarmy\u201d Berzatto, played by Jeremy Allen White, wears a weathered Barbour Ogston jacket in olive during a flashback; later in the season, he wears a cotton deck jacket<\/a> from the work-wear-inspired Ralph Lauren sublabel RRL. J. Crew released a capsule collection \u2014 a hat, T-shirt, sweatshirt and work-wear jacket \u2014 emblazoned with the logo of the fictional business belonging to the Fak brothers from the show, played by Matty Matheson and Ricky Staffieri.<\/p>\n

Unlike \u201cSex and the City,\u201d which had Carrie Bradshaw\u2019s Fendi baguette bags, and \u201cSuccession\u201d on HBO that had its \u201cludicrously capacious\u201d Burberry bag<\/a>, \u201cThe Bear\u201d wasn\u2019t conceived with any major ties to the fashion world.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t expect this, not at all,\u201d said Courtney Wheeler, the costume designer on the show. \u201cOur show isn\u2019t outwardly about fashion, like \u2018Sex and the City\u2019 or \u2018Emily in Paris.\u2019 It\u2019s what we think the world that these characters inhabit would feel like. That people respond to it is really awesome, but it wasn\u2019t necessarily our intention.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
