After contacting her health trust for her regular repeat prescription, she said she was told there were no supplies of Nabilone available.<\/p>\n

She was told to contact her neurologist and has since been prescribed other medication.<\/p>\n

Kenning said the alternatives had not been effective and that her health had declined to the point where she had to stay in hospital for several nights.<\/p>\n

“I don’t want to be here any more because the pain is so bad,” she said.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know how to describe it.<\/p>\n

“I have been living on painkillers… I can’t sleep, I’m sick, I’m not eating.”<\/p>\n

Kenning said more should have been done to prepare patients for the disruption.<\/p>\n

“How do I live my life? How do I cope with the pain?” she said.<\/p>\n

“I’m not only fighting for me, I’m fighting for all the other patients that are on this drug.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
