Prince Harry has suffered a major setback after losing a close pal amid ongoing feud with the royal family.
According to new reports, the Duke of Sussex is said to be deeply disappointed after being quietly pushed aside by Hollywood star John Travolta.
Radar Online reported that Travolta is someone Harry once saw as a close friend after their friendship grew stronger last year when they bonded over shared grief, flying, and a connection to Princess Diana.
However, their friendship dynamic changed when Travolta publicly praised actor Sam Asghari and started spending more time with him.
“It feels like yet another opportunity has been taken away,” an insider shared with the publication. “John was someone I genuinely relied on.”
Last year, Travolta inducted King Charles’ son as a ‘Living Legend of Aviation,’ which led to backlash because he doesn’t have the same flying experience as past recipients like Neil Armstrong.
However, sources say the two formed a real friendship after having lunch at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills in early 2023.
“They connected instantly. It wasn’t only about aircraft, helicopters, or being dads – or even that famous dance with Diana,” a Sussex source shared.
They added, “Both John and Harry have endured profound emotional loss and see those same wounds reflected in one another.”
The reported claimed Harry also sought Travolta’s parenting advice and how to navigate life with a “high-profile wife.”
But then Travolta dropped a social media post with Britney Spears’ ex-husband, praising him as a “rising talent.”
“When Harry found out John was growing close to Sam, it really threw him,” they said.
“He doesn’t have an issue with Sam personally – it just made it painfully clear that John still makes time for others, just not for him anymore.”
Not only it left Harry feeling “ghosted,” but his attempts to connect have also been ignored by Travolta with insiders sharing that “the friendship is dead.”
