As many as 11 children have died from Pneumonia in Landi Kotal during the last one month, while over 200 patients have landed at a local hospital in the area during the aforementioned period as the disease has spread in the area like a wild fire due to bitterly cold weather following recent snowfall.

However, to make matters worse, there are no facilities for the treatment of Pneumonia patients at the hospital.

Heating arrangements also don’t exist at the hospital owing to 20-hour-long loadshedding.

The children who died from the disease were Ilham, Muhammad Zain, Baseerullah, Hasmia, Irfan, Hamza, Jan Akbar, Ijaz and three others.
