Bloni’s Akshat Bansal Regrets Sourcing His Couture To This Celebrity; Says, ‘Respect It…’

Fashion designer Akshat Bansal took to Instagram to share images of the damaged couture piece sourced by sitar player Rishab Sharma.

Delhi-based couture and ready-to-wear brand, Bloni’s, founder Akshat Bansal expressed his regret of sourcing one of his couture pieces to a celebrity and took to Instagram to share his experience.

On Sunday, February 1, Akshat Bansal took to Instagram to share his thoughts on why he doesn’t source his clothes. The Instagram story featured a series of images of the damaged piece of clothing.

Bloni’s brand page also shared the same image of the destroyed couture ensemble and tagged celebrated sitar player Rishab Sharma in the Instagram story.

Akshat Bansal, who mentioned to News18 that he rarely sources his ensembles, made an exception for sitar player Rishab Sharma.

Speaking to News18 and sharing why this hurt the most, Akshat Bansal says, “I don’t source at all. However, I agreed to do this only because I was a genuine fan.”

The multiple images showcased close-up shots of the fabric, which was ripped from the seams, torn in multiple areas and seemed like damage beyond repair.

Sitar player Rishab Sharma is currently on tour with his show Sitar For Mental Health.

Disappointed with the way his ensemble was treated, Akshat Bansal, founder of Bloni, took a dig at the artiste and expressed his disappointment with a caption that read as: “Mental health isn’t only what we speak about publicly. It’s how we respect other artists’ work, trust and boundaries.

Akshat further added, “There’s a reason Bloni doesn’t source its couture. Own it. Wear it. Respect It.”
