The Kelly Clarkson Show is set to conclude after its seventh season, as Clarkson prioritises her family following the 2025 death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who was also the father of her two children. The decision, announced on February 2, 2026, comes from Clarkson herself, who said stepping away from the daily schedule felt necessary for this next chapter in her life. Production for the current season will continue as planned, with the final episodes airing this fall, and special guest hosts will be featured.

Clarkson expressed deep gratitude to her team and fans, highlighting the show’s impact and her collaboration with crew members in Los Angeles and New York. “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she said. “There have been so many amazing moments over these seven seasons. Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting the show.”

Premiering in 2019, The Kelly Clarkson Show became a staple of daytime television, combining celebrity interviews, uplifting stories, and musical segments including the signature ‘Kellyoke’, where Clarkson covers songs by popular artists. The show also occasionally explored deep dives into artists’ careers with episodes like ‘Songs & Stories’ and aired primetime specials featuring high-profile guests such as the Jonas Brothers, Gloria Estefan, Teddy Swims and Lizzo.

Over its run, the show has won 24 Daytime Emmys, including four consecutive wins for both outstanding daytime talk series and talk show host. NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, which produces and distributes the show, praised Clarkson’s warmth, humour, and connection with audiences. Executives also credited showrunner Alex Duda for guiding the series through seven successful seasons.
